Benefits of Kangaroo Leather.
Kangaroo leather is so effective due to it’s unique properties.
The exceptional performance of Kangaroo leather is driven by its lightweight, dense, smooth fiber structure that contains naturally occurring ultra-fine silicates. Derived from the animal’s selective diet of tough native grasses and vegetation, these microscopic abrasive minerals are present throughout the hide in significantly higher concentrations especially when compared to that of cow or horse hide.
Its tightly woven fiber structure, outstanding tensile strength, dimensional stability and natural abrasion resistance place Kangaroo leather in a class of its own. Despite being lighter than cow or horse hide, it is considerably more resistant to deformation, greatly reducing the “wave” effect common in thicker, more malleable leathers. Under pressure, those softer, spongey leathers can flex and roll over your apex, dulling your edge.
Kangaroo leather is also an exceptional abrasive substrate. It performs remarkably well when used bare, while performing exceptionally well with any abrasive you choose to charge it with.
The result is a premium, edge-friendly stropping surface that is lightweight, stable, naturally abrasive and exceptionally durable, designed for a lifetime of high performance.
