These\u00a0hand-made 1″\u00d76″ (26mm\u00d7152mm) and are engineered to preserve and maintain optimal edge geometry – helping to keep your tools in peak condition.\u00a0made for guided systems that will accept 1″ wide by 6″ long stones.
\nAptly named the \u201cGuiding Mob Strop” –\u00a0a nod to what a group of kangaroos is known as – a mob!<\/p>\n

Every\u00a0one of these strops is made from the same consistent, premium-grade Kangaroo leather used across all SSC. strops, with a thickness of approximately 1mm-1.5mm (0.04″) thick, mounted flesh (suede) side up, that’s been specially bonded to a light yet tough 4mm (0.16″) aluminium blank –<\/p>\n

Giving you inspiring confidence with its stability and durability on your sharpening system of choice.\u00a0Also, these strops will accept any stropping\u00a0abrasive you choose to charge it with.<\/p>\n

Its tightly woven fiber structure, outstanding tensile strength, dimensional stability and natural abrasion resistance place Kangaroo leather in a class of its own. Despite being lighter than cow or horse hide, it is considerably more resistant to deformation, greatly reducing the “wave” effect common in thicker, more malleable leathers. Under pressure, those softer, spongey leathers can flex and roll over your apex, dulling your edge.<\/p>\n

Kangaroo leather is also an exceptional abrasive substrate. It performs remarkably well when used bare, while performing exceptionally well with any abrasive you choose to charge it with.<\/p>\n
